Storytelling is humanity’s oldest ephemeral art form. And even though we have the ability to capture our narratives through writing and film, it can still feel impossible at times birth to the stories we have living inside us.

Hello, I’m Kristina Franziska Haas, and I am so pleased you are here! I’m an editor, writer, and creative guide. Storytelling is the lens through which I see the world, and I am continually fascinated by our desire to share our thoughts with each other through the written word.

On most days you can find me reading classic and contemporary literature, editing, caring for my family, working on my novel, cooking and baking, and filming for my YouTube channel, The Literary Baker.

After a true liberal arts education at University of San Francisco, I spent decades working as a publicist and marketing consultant for California-based food and beverage brands. To augment my literary learning, I studied grammar and editing at UC Berkeley, and writing and literature through workshops and classes taught by Rebecca Makkai, Jennifer Lauck, and the Cooper Street Workshops at Rutgers University-Camden.

I am currently completing a post-baccalaureate Certificate in Editing and Publishing from UCLA, and I am an active member of the Editorial Freelancer's Association.

I love working on writing and editing projects ranging from copy editing essays to developmental novel edits, to copywriting personal brand websites. I also advise on public relations strategy, social media, and content marketing. Additionally, I work as a Creative Guide, where I blend writing exercises and guided meditation with tactical emotional and creative coaching. I am not a licensed therapist, though I find that folks who have done at least some therapeutic work are usually able to enhance and accelerate their own personal growth and creative development during our time together.
